I noticed some light edge haloes and a few wide shots looked a bit soft, but those weren’t a major issue. For me, I like BATTLE and feel it was the best way to end the series, with the apes and humans trying to get along and possibly avoiding the disastrous events of the original PLANET OF THE APES. The Uncut Version of CONQUEST is so dark and grim that if you wanted to ignore BATTLE, you could, and just figure the events will lead up to PLANET OF
